DeKUTAA Miles for Mind Run

On 5th April 2026, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology Alumni Association will host the most iconic run in Kenya all under the majestic views of Mt. Kenya, Arbadare and Nyeri Hills The Run will be an annual event and it will be used for raising money for the DeKUTAA Fund that are to be applied to the following: 1) Principally, towards awarding of scholarships to DeKUT students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds under the DeKUT Endowment Fun 2) Funding development and maintenance of infrastructure facilities at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology under the Alumni Association Umbrella on need basis (Priority being a day care to keep the student mums in school, a swimming pool with Modern Gym facility; and 3) Funding Alumni career and development activities (1. Alumni Career Advancement & Upskilling Programs, 2. Alumni Mentorship & Coaching Framework, 3. Entrepreneurship, Start ups & Innovation Support Fund, 4. Career Placement, Internship & Industry Linkages, 5. Alumni Professional Networking & Thought Leadership Events, 6. Career Transition & Re-skilling Support, and 7. Alumni Digital Career Platform Development) Dedan Kimathi University of Technology Alumni Association targets to raise at least Ksh 100 million for the Fund, over the next decade towards funding the causes listed above.
