Daniel Okoth Ochomo

Daniel Okoth Ochomo has 9 years experience in marketing, corporate communications, research and portfolio management. He currently works for LAPFUND as the acting Regional Coordinator-Coast on since July 2017. He has served as Marketing Officer-Coast Region for LAPFUND from July 2013; Recruitment & Admissions Officer at MKU Parklands Campus (Formerly Inoorero University) from October 2012 to June 2013; Research Assistant at Apex Research Management Limited from January to September 2012.

Mr. Ochomo is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya since November 2011, a Full Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya since September 2015 and was admitted to the American Academy of Financial Management as a Certified Pension Analysis Manager (CPAM) in December 2015.

Daniel Ochomo is currently a PhD student at the University of Nairobi, he hold an MBA (Marketing & International Business) from the UoN, BCom (Marketing) from JKUAT and Diploma in Pension Management from International Social Security Association (ISSA).

While studying at Kimathi University College, he founded the Kimathi University Entrepreneur Club in 2009 and founding Deputy President of the Kimathi University Marketing Students Association. He was elected and served as KUCTSO Secretary for Community & External Affairs from May 2010 to April 2011. In February 2011 he was elected for a 3-year term as the National Youth Council Representative for Mathari Sub-Location, Nyeri Central District. It's worth noting that during his tenure in the students' congress, he championed the formation of the Students' Welfare Fund.

Mr. Ochomo is passionate about the fight against Sickle Cell Anaemia in Kenya; he serves as a Trustee at the Denis Awich Sickle Cell Anaemia Foundation since March 2015.
